What teams ask before their first scan.
Do I need to be a sonar expert to run a scan?
No. We provide a written lake-specific scan protocol that walks you through vessel speed, lane spacing, and transducer settings. If you can drive a pontoon boat in straight lines, you can collect data Milfoil Finder can process.
What file formats do you accept?
Lowrance and Simrad .sl2 / .sl3 files, Deeper app exports, and most third-party hydro-acoustic log formats. If you're unsure, send a sample — we'll confirm compatibility for free.
What's the turnaround time?
Standard turnaround is 48 hours from upload. Expedited 24-hour and 12-hour SLAs are available on seasonal retainers for DASH teams that need same-day strike plans during dive windows.
Do you share data with other consultants or competitors?
No. All scan data is owned entirely by the client that submitted it. We never aggregate, resell, or cross-reference logs without written permission.
